Social Work Supervision & Consultation

As an LGSW (now LMSW), I had a wonderful supervisor who used empathy and compassion to help guide me. My supervisor helped me look analytically at the cases I worked on, brainstormed ways to problem solve, helped me understand the administrative parts of my role, and most importantly encouraged me to pursue my long-term goals, even when they meant leaving the agency. After learning that a supportive supervisor may not always be the norm for newer social workers, I felt compelled to become a supervisor myself at some point in my career. After nearly a decade in the field, I became a Maryland Board of Social Work approved Clinical Supervisor in July 2018.

As a supervisor, just as a therapist, I value collaboration as we work towards goals. My role is to work WITH you and help you find your own approach to clinical work with clients. My primary clinical experience has been working with children and teens, and I have specialized post-graduate training in mindfulness, yoga and play therapy. I look forward to providing supervision to LMSWs who work with children, teens and young adults, and also those who have or are looking for support in developing a mind-body, mindfulness based approach to counseling. I am also able to guide supervises through the process of applying and studying for the LCSW-C exam.

I am only able to provide clinical supervision for LMSWs licensed in the state of Maryland. Supervision can be held at my office in Havre de Grace, or I can meet with you off-site in Harford, Cecil or Baltimore Counties.
